1. Word
2. Definition (origin also, if possible)
3. Source (optional)

I'll start:

Niggardly
  /ˈnɪgərdli/ [nig-erd-lee]

–adjective
1. reluctant to give or spend; stingy; miserly.
2. meanly or ungenerously small or scanty: a niggardly tip to a waiter.

Gobbledygook
[gob-uhl-dee-gook]

–noun
1. Language characterized by circumlocution and jargon, usually hard to understand:
the gobbledygook of government reports.

Poppycock
/pŏp'ē-kŏk'/ [pop-ee-kok]

- noun
1. Senseless talk; nonsense.

[Dutch dialectal pappekak : pap, pap (from Middle Dutch pappe, perhaps from Latin pappa, food) kak, dung (from kakken, to defecate, from Middle Dutch kacken, from Latin cacāre; see kakka- in Indo-European roots).]

If it is lulzy enough, words in other languages and slang (phrases included) are also welcome.

The etymology's probably Greek: 'hippo' is the Greek word for 'horse'.

hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia - The fear of long words, ironically. It is literally the hippopotamus- and monster-related fear of very long words.

Mausoleum - 1. a stately and magnificent tomb.
2. a burial place for the bodies or remains of many individuals, often of a single family, usually in the form of a small building.
3. a large, gloomy, depressing building, room, or the like.
4. (initial capital letter) the tomb erected at Halicarnassus in Asia Minor in 350? b.c.

Also, it's just a really cool word.
