Mine, with my lack of drinking experience has to be rum and pineapple juice.

1) Scotch Whisky - You can get a bottle without breaking the bank and whilst it wont be the REALLY good stuff, will still taste pretty good. Recently got a taste for "Grants," which may have displaced "Bells" as my cheap scotch of choice.

2) Ale - Makes me piss like a mule. Seriously, after three pints im up and down all night. Fuck that. Special mentions: Tanglefoot, Old Peculiar and Speckled Hen.

3) Absinthe - It may taste great, and the fire you get in your stomach cannot be matched, but sadly it'll still taste great half a bottle in. So easy to overdo it, and the hangovers are a bitch. Expensive to boot.

4) Belgian Beer - There's no way of really describing it, they're unique. Often with a specific taste that, whilst not heavy like an ale, actually has a taste unlike a lager. Often hard and expensive to acquire. Special mentions: Leffe, Fruli, Chimay, Hoegaarden.

5) Mead - Hard to acquire, and its only the more expensive ones worth getting..

Bavarian Wheat Beer, esp: Weihenstephan, Paulaner, Franziskaner.

Vanilla vodka & Coke is something I began experimenting with recently and I love it Smile

Yeah, some of the Scandinavian countries as well you might get better luck. Its all down to what's made locally. For example, outside of the UK Scotch is really expensive. I was talking to a polish guy who has to pay almost double what we do here.

Mojitos. I learned how to make them in the summer vacation. Takes along time to make unless you have the ice ready, but it taste like GOD!!!(Is this queer ?)

Beer....Well I do drink the standard lager, how could I not, I'm a dane, but my liking goes up and down alot depending on how long it has been since I got shit drunk it in.

Vodka....I can't, not anymore, unless it's a good one, which means it costs a fucking lot, or it's really watered down with softdrinks like fanta or something. Never got the vodka+juice thing, to me it tastes like shit.

Dark Rum....well I haven't tried that a whole lot, one of my friends gave me a taste of his captain morgan+pepsi.

Absinthe have tasted it a few times, but only pure....better than vodka, but if you drink it pure it drys out your stomach and your mouth. I'd love to try for real.

I used to drink a lot of neat vodka as a young rebellious teen, and my body seems to have developed an adverse reaction from it. I've felt completely sober and still thrown up after a couple of shots of it.

As for absinthe, its not difficult to prepare. There's a few ways of doing I think, but the way I've always seen it done is to put a shot of absinthe into a glass, place a spoon with a sugar lump (or level teaspoon) over the glass and pour a further shot of water onto the spoon, letting it overflow into the glass. Voila. (Oh, and dont pour the sugar into the shot afterwards Razz)

Ale, and pretty much all incarnations of it. British ales like Golden Glory, Hobgoblin, Broadside (my local do it on tap, Cask Marque too) and Deuchers IPA are all brilliant. Real lagers like Budvar and Staropramen are awesome too. And of course there's the belgians too, stuff like La Gauloise, Tripel Moines, Leffe (Radieuse or the Brun) and the Trappist beers are equally awesome (but not session beers, sadly). Decent cider is good too, but I can't seem to think of any outside the classic still Scrumpy Jack you get in a massive glass bottle....

Also, the Cuba Libre (spiced rum, coke and a slice of lime) and gin with some kind of fruit juice.

I've always found you gotta be careful with the IPA. I've been to some bars and its tasted pretty lousy, but at others its fine. I have no idea why though...

If i drink pure vodka i throw it up, no matter how drunk I am. To many bad experiences with it I guess.

I also despise liquorice liquors and lot of people in my age think it's god's gift to mankind.

Jägermeister, Hot And Sweet, Små Blå, Små Grå, Små Gule can't think of anymore...I don't like any of them anymore. It's because once i got really drunk in a mixture of vodka and Hot And Sweet (and alot of other stuff, but i don't remember that). Can't remember much from that night I woke up at home and barf. Had blacked out and puked most of the night...Worst day of my life 100%. My mom said (they had to get me home) that my eyes didn't respond to light....So everytime I see the bottle of a Hot And Sweet I get nauseous....

Theres a trick for this. If you're pissed and try to go to sleep, everything will spin, you'll feel ill and quite frankly it isn't happening. Instead, put on a bad film (I usually reach for a lousy horror with someone hot to look at - Wrong Turn, Species I, Species II, Species III, Species IV, etc, etc) and try to stay awake, drinking a bottle of water at your side. You'll black out way quicker than actually trying to sleep.

Unless you mean you drank so much that you didn't realise you were gonna become paralytic from it, which will subside as you get older (I think - everyone I know who's gotten this far gone were either under the age of 16, or a female chav [and hey, if she drinks herself until she can't have children, I call it a win]).

Only time I've had mojito was in a club last year when it was £1 a bottle. Probably better made fresh, but it was ok for the price.

Dark rum is GOOOOD! Cheers

This! Think I've discussed it with you before. In Wetherspoon's Greene King's IPA is good. From most other pubs it tastes almost off Mad

Possibly, but I don't remember? Theres a couple of pubs local to me (actually, theres about half a dozen, but these two are locals I actually visit) and neither of them has a decent IPA. Even my local wetherspoons is often bad. I know of two places where you can grab a decent IPA, and both of them are 'out of the way' pubs, away from prying eyes and lager louts, populated by the over 40s playing chess and scrabble next to the fire. The sort of place where they're all ale elitists and will yell at the barmaid if their pint doesn't taste right, even though its not her fault.

Also, mojito in a bottle? What the hell...Rum, sparkling water, sugar, water and mint. Oh, and a dash of lime. Seriously, what the fuck.

Ale is my main drink, but I like to mix it up a lot on a night out so I don't get too bloated.
Red wine is good, but only for one or two glasses.

My current favourite ales (changes a lot, aside from Hobgoblin): HOBGOBLIN, Tanglefoot, Old Speckled Hen and Late Red (Sheperd Neame Autumn brew that I recently discovered).
Thomas: I finally tried Fursty Ferret. My new house mate is obsessed with it. It's one of the better light ales I've tried. Up there with the light Bombardier (can't think of the name).

Other drinks:
Dark rum & coke (generally Captain Morgan's).
I've been enjoying Sailor Jerry's spiced rum & coke a lot recently. Tasty stuff!
Vodka & Red Bull (if I feel at all tired when out clubbing), or with coke/lemonade when that's cheap.
Blue After Shock.
Used to drink lots of neat vodka. Double/triple vodkas at clubs, with most drink orders. Vodka never used give me hangovers!

A lot of decent clubs around here specifically hire trained cocktail makers for things like this. Go to a shitty club, they'll read the ingredient and chuck it together and it'll be shit. A decent club will charge you twice as much, but you'll actually get a proper mojito. I remember a bar in South East that had a 'mojito time,' where basically they would make a bunch in bulk and charge people a reasonable price for them. Must say, mint is not my thing though...

EDIT: Love the name Razz "Fursty Ferret" ^_^

On a student night the local clubs would probably tell you to get lost if you asked them to make a proper cocktail...even if it's on the drink menu, the bars are always just far to busy for that.
