I am sure mine is smaller than most people's but I have 33 GB (approximately 4500 items) of music on my computer most of which I have acquired just in the last year. I also own around 170 physical CDs that I acquired over a period of 3 years. I was just wondering how much music you guys have because I sure have difficulties keeping all of mine straight. I still have many albums I haven't listened to yet and many more I haven't listened enough to have a really strong opinion on them.

~44 GB, which comes to about ~6K songs, most of it dl'd within the last 2 1/2 years. it's amazing how quickly my musical taste has changed in those few years--looking back on my CD collection one day, i only found a couple dozen that i'd care to listen to anymore.

I have 6441 songs, 20.71 Gb in space. I compress all my music to 96 kbps WMA files so they don't take up as much room.

21.5 GB, which is about 284 hours. There are 321 albums, 66 of which I actually own the CDs, though some of these do not have all the songs ripped to the computer. I have around 120 CDs total, and I haven't really gone through them lately but I know there are some I still want on my computer. Anyways, this means I've downloaded around 255 albums since August, when I got my own computer. Coincidentally I also joined this group during that time, which I'm sure contributed to this.

I-Tunes says I have 102.99 GB, 13,757 songs, 44.6 days. I don't have an exact count on how many CD's, and Vinyl I own(I have traded in a few as of late). But last check had me somewhere in the 250 to 300 range(not counting box sets). I have probably owned somewhere in the thousands since I have started buy music when I was 13. But at least once every few months I go through and douche out my collection of music I don't like or listen to any more. Though I do keep a lot of it on my I-tunes.
EDIT: Didn't realize Record Nerd tabulated your totals for you. So: 7" - 1, 12" - 4, CD - 563, Tape - 13, 2x 12" - 1, Digital Download - 5 My collection that I OWN.

Ugh how the fuck can you stand that? I'm not even an audiophile and that just seems horrible. Is the sound quality super-compressed?
I have about 50 cds of my own and my dad has well above 200. A significant portion of those are represented on my iTunes which has:
3552 songs, 25.9 GB and that's 12.7 days of music. I haven't listened to about half of it.
Curiously my average song length is only 5.14864865 minutes, though I imagine that's quite a bit higher than most folks with 3-4 on average.
My shortest songs are "Intro: Eight", "Intro: Four", Intro: Ten" and "Intro: Two" by Ayreon, which are little filler tracks clocking in at 4 seconds each. My shortest ACTUAL song (ie. not an intro/interlude) would be "Her Majesty" by the Beatles (00:23).
My longest "track" is actually a two-hour long radio broadcast so I'll skip that - my longest tracks are "Light of Day, Day of Darkness" by Green Carnation (1:00:06), "? (Roine's Love Mix)" by Neal Morse (53:36), "All of the Above" by Transatlantic (30:59) and "Stranger in Your Soul" by Transatlantic (30:00). Interestingly, five of my longest six songs are all written by or co-written by Neal Morse.
I have 21 songs over 20 minutes long and 221 songs over 10 minutes long.
First track is "A-Thanasia (Demo)" by Thanatos, last track is "9:28 AM" by Queensryche.
The artist I have the most of is Django Reinhardt at 104 songs and 4.9 hours.
Most played track is "Progulus Radio" at 517 but as that's a radio station it doesn't count. Dream Theater's "The Count of Tuscany" (16) and Frost*'s "The Forget You Song" (15) are the most played there.
My last 5 played tracks are "Vacant" by Jordan Rudess, "Landscapes of You" by Hopefactor, "Summerisle Reprise" by Agalloch, "The Legacy" by Iron Maiden, and "Lord of Light" by Iron Maiden.

Sadly, my hdd is still 80 GB only, so you can imagine I have to delete music on a regular basis to maintain it. Right now I have only 25.5 GB of music, but since I joined lifer earlier this year, I've downloaded over 40 GB of music, and my music library before joining was exactly 3 GB or less, so yeah, in less than a year, my library has *doing the math* grown over ten times as much ? I've honestly lost count. I don't keep music on my HD(though there is currently about 7 gigs), so I would have to do a physical count. A rough approximation would be; 1000 vinyl lps (numerous '45's, demo's, and picture discs not included) 1000 cd's (new additions offset by crap I've gotten rid of) 3600 albums in mp3 format. Burned to disc, cataloged, shelved.
I did have about 1200 cassettes, but I gave a couple of hundred to my brother, sold 5-600, then gave another friend what was left over. Lot's of cool shit, but I had either replaced it on cd, or intend to. Unfortunately, I have since discovered that many have not had cd release. Oh well, too late now.
When I started Lifer, I had in excess 5000 albums in all formats, and that number eventually grew to well in excess of 6000. I have since parred it back down quite a bit. Over the years I have lost, traded, given away, or had stolen 100's more, but that's life.

I probably have somewhere between 300 and 500 physical CDs. On my computer I have 1871 albums, which comes out to 130.68 GB or 20,305 songs.

Thats mindblowing....
Got 13,53 GB and 1935 songs, but I'm dl'ing a lot these days so it rises alot. Had half that a few weeks ago.
I focus alot on buying the music so it has probably hindered my growth. Own close to 100 cd'er and iTunes says i have 160 albums so less than half of my music is downloaded.
Isn't that long time since a got to terms with downloading music.

Only about 150 CDs, a fact that needs to change when I can afford to. (Actually, I forgot I have a load at my parents. so 150 good CDs and 50 of stuff that probably needs to be given away. Or burnt. Or something).
As for music, I compress everything to a 165VBR, and I can barely tell the difference (I'm with Ricard, 96 .WMA is fucking nasty. For Gods sake at least use a VBR .mp3, it'll take the same memory and not sound so bad), and the albums I love I try to buy anyway. Im currently at about 70gig (so if everything was 320KBbps, it would be closer to 140gig).
So, Library Facts
13,849 tracks
1,044 hours
857 Artists
1462 Albums
According the crappy automatic genre labels, I have 49.3 hours of Heavy Metal, 39.8 hours of Black Metal and 26.1 hours of Death Metal.
The genre labels are shit, evident by my apparent 2 minutes worth of Post-Hardcore, 6 minutes of "Sexcore" and 2 minutes of - and I quote - (=^_^=)
I have 75 tracks over the length of 15 minutes, and 5 tracks over the length of an hour. Four of which are DnB compilations (Light of Day, Dark of Darkness - Green Carnation is the exception)
I have 345 items under a minute in length.
Top 5 artists by track amount: Megadeth; Animetal; Richard Cheese; Dio; The White Stripes
Top 5 artists by track length: Megadeth; Dio; Symphony X; Sigh; Frank Zappa
More in keeping with the OP, I reckon I've at least given a quick listen to 95% of everything in my collection, if perhaps not the entire album. The other 5% consists of stuff that interested me and then I forgot about. A few reviews actually come about from these 'forgotten' downloads.

Fight Paris' tracks "Complete Heat" and "Destroyer"
As for (=^_^=), thats God Forbid's "End of the World." Came from a free CD by Metal Hammer. Must have auto-ripped. Figures it would have to be professional fucktards to do something like that.

20,325 songs. 124.72 gb. 61.5 days.
I'm an unemployed 16 year old so I only have ~25-30 good cds.
I also have 102 music videos.

Tbf, it's partly in either the Frankish or Bavarian dialect, so basic German and a dictionary's probably not gonna do you much good FYI: the title means "Pants down, dick comparison".
