Seriously, this is really fucked up. It is turning women into breeding vessels. And ignoring the fact that birth control serves other functions besides just stopping pregnancy. Although this is really fucked up, I wouldn't even give it a second thought. It wont happen. Just like the government wont take all of our guns or any other drastic measurement that people think up. Regardless of how fucked up our government may be, certain things that have been established will never be overturned. Abortions will never become illegal again. Handguns will never be banned. Etc. Etc. This will move ahead enough to cause a stir and then it will be rejected and buried. Also, I love this: - Quote :
- Anti-abortion conservatives are proposing a new constitutional amendment that critics claim would make it a crime to take birth control pills in Florida.
So, take away birth control which helps to stop women from having accidental/unwanted pregnancies...so that they can be faced with the decision of an abortion or giving it away for adoption. Good idea.

Other functions, such as making people infertile! Call it a crazy theory if you like, but it's a rather large coincidence that more people are becoming sterile while excess hormones from the pill are pissed straight into the water supply.

I don't know how it is in England, but here in the US we don't dump raw sewage into the water supply, hence I don't see how that effects sterility rates.

I will call it a crazy theory, plus ask your doctor if you diluted pee with "excess hormones" in it over such a large amount of water if it would make you infertile.

Other functions such as helping curb cramps, acne and blood flow, so you don't become anemic. I don't know where people defecate into the water system, but that's not here. Trace elements of drugs and pollutants (which you pick up in the air, on money, shaking hands) won't do much damage unless you suck a tailpipe.

Birth control doesn\'t cause infertility in the majority of women. In fact, even after years of taking the pill, women can get pregnant right away if they stop. And birth control has been around since the early 20th century. Maybe infertility could be due to a host of other factors, like a lifetime of eating shitty food, being inactive, other drugs people are taking, taking a lot of illegal drugs, etc. personally, I hope I'm infertile.

Everything that goes down the drain gets cleaned and pumped back into the system. I think the water that comes out of the taps in London is said to have been through about 14 people already. Other places further north, perhaps less than half a dozen.

I don't take birth control (I really wish I did because I have heavy and painful periods that affect my mood and sanity, but whatever), but honestly, pills or abortions? I'm pro-choice, but I'd take the pill over that...
