I've seen.. Iron Maiden Avenged Sevenfold (ok listen, they were opening for Maiden and I was invited by a family friend and we only checked them out for three or four songs before someone injured themselves and they had to cut it short) The Ocean Cynic Opeth Testament Megadeth Judas Priest I've only been to three shows so a lot of them were openers would you believe.

Did 1349 do their fire breathing trick with you? It was oddly fun to be in the front row and have to duck from the flames being blown at your face. Also, Bleeding Through do a fairly decent live show. Last time I saw them Marta jumped off the stage into the mosh pit before scrabbling over a couple of people to go play her mini-solo part

no, it was that giant Carcass tour and they only got to play about 5 songs, but that woulda been pretty awesome as I was front row as well I will say this: when they started to play, it got fucking cold in the venue

I'm guess they're good live? I'm seeming them with Nachtmystium, Marduk, Merrimack, and Black Anvil in a couple months. Pretty damn excited.

When I saw them live, despite putting on a good show, their sound had some major problems, with a lot of instruments being very hard to hear.

They're playing a pretty small venue, so its either gonna be unfathomably awesome or a bit shit. Either way, be worth it to see Doris Yeh and her swanky new tattoo play alongside Freddy Kim and his erhu.

Absolutely not. They played like, a tonnnnnn of songs. Like they played an hour and a half long set, both times I saw them and it was like...SO boring. Also, the singer was a dick. His drummer was in another band that opened for TiTD. The singer cut the drummer's other band off, like mid song to get TitD on...to play the longest and most boring set ever...

So it's safe to assume you are not a fan? Who was the drummer? I know Steve Austin (the singer/guitarist) goes through a lot of guy album to album. He even had two of the guys from mastodon in the band for one album. Derrick Roddy (sp) who played on his last album on drums didn't have nice things to say about him either. Not surprised. It seems band fronted by the one and only song writer seem to be pricks most times (see Danzig though I love him not in a gay way ).

He was SUCH a prick. You'd think he was a fucking ROCKSTAR making millions and millions (not that that would giveh im the right to treat people like shit). But he's not, he's a fucking NOBODY. Fuck him. I know Roddy drummed for them, I didn't know he said bad things about him, lol.
