I like Eight-Limbed, the guitar is very catchy. The vocals have alot of potential, but I feel they need more body, if that makes sense. Probably not.

Eight-Limbed was actually a collab between me and John Horne, who lurks here occasionally. He did all the electric guitars and I did pretty much everything else.

Thoughts on the instrumental work?

"Deliriumbra"- I'm not going to lie, and forgive me for being harsh, but the melody reminds of a children's show jingle. It's certainly...catchy. I like the contrast, the bass is played very well. But the keyboard sounds a little too sharp in some places, perhaps you could try another effect besides the kalimba.

"Prelude"- Okay so it's not the kalimba, maybe the bass guitar effect, I'm assuming. Whatever it is, it sounds awesome in this song. I like this the best. All the keyboard is played by you? You're very good at it.

"Eight-limbed"- It's not about arachnids? =( Needs more drumming. Sorry, that's all I can say about this one.

"Landscapes of You" - I'm a production nerd, so that's what I noticed first. It's almost flawless in all of your songs, I like that a lot. Porcupine Tree fan much? I hear a lot of it in your music.

Needs: More length! More rhythm! More Metal!
Has: Great production and keyboards.

It's almost entirely MIDI actually. I go from Guitar Pro and import the files into FL Studio and assign MIDI files directly to it. "Eight-Limbed" is the only "real" recording on there.

"Landscapes", though I played mostly live with the little keyboard-hotkeys on the computer keyboard itself, in FL Studio. The wave/bird effects were overdubbed as were some additional harmonies. But yeah, most of what you hear there was done in a single, completely improvised take.

BTW, I thought you didn't like PT?

I'm not into their music. Just thought yours sounded like them. I do like Wilson's production though. Especially in Opeth.

Fuck, the narration on "Eight Limbed" brings back so many memories of fucking around on the UTSC campus.

Hey so. I listened to your musicz. And I really liked 'TDC: I. Part of Me' It has a tinge of creepy and cute all in the same song. Tingly. What does TDC stand for? Or should I not ask? Also loved 'The Clockwork Wing' It's so cute. Like. Bubblegum music to me. [/obviously loves upbeat music]
The others were great too. Your singing in Eight-limbed was awesome.

hmm... nice style and well written. It is very obviously MIDI so I can't get a good picture of what It should be like. Your rhythms seem to get a little choppy in odd time signatures especially in TDC: I. Part of Me, but it's not really bad, and especially in that song, you might have been going for a little choppy. I like the kind of folky/poppy influence. It's refreshing after listening to my music so much (gets pretty bluesy). Sorry to compare you to me, but it's how I learn. I think as far as writing, I can outdo your riffing, but I can't do those little fills between stuff for shit. you seem pretty good at that. also, I like your use of lots of instruments. Most I can handle is guitar and bass. Overall, all I can say is GET A BAND. personally I think the sounds of the instruments are terrible. you need real instruments.
