What videogames do people play? What upcoming games are you looking forward to? I play a lot of Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, and CoD: WaW on Xbox Live and I've also been enjoying Assassin's Creed. Definitely looking forward to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I really need to expand my horizons with Xbox 360 games, but I don't have the kind of money to be renting/buying all the time like many of my friends do.

I pretty much only play CoD4 online and then a few single player games like Fallout 3.

I play COD4 online on PC as well as FIFA 09 though not online. This is because my comp probably can't run most newer games

I used to play Battlefield: Vietnam online quite often, but lately it seems I either don't have time or I don't have an adequate internet connection (LAAAAAG!!! ) Unfortunately my laptop's graphics card is pretty mediocre and won't support most recent (within the last 2-3 years) games

I'm going to start reviewing games. They'll be short, similar to Bawden and probably mainstream games but I think it'd be fun to give my opinions in a more formatted scale. Hopefully that'll lead onto further discussion etc.

Can I join you? I've been following the industry since I was 12 - 13 somewhere around there

It's the first week back to school so I get loads of work and I also need to do some other stuff. On topic, Assassin's Creed 2... Oh my god! It looks so good. Mass Effect 2 coming out soon, Bioshock 2, CoD4 2 coming out. So many good games, so little money

Thinking of getting my Xbox 360 modded, so I can play burned DVD's. We have a larger collection of games on the internet, and it will cost me a lot less. Besides, Microsoft already has too much of our money. Good idea to mod?

It's going to be harder than the previous games because instead of being Master Chief, your player is going to be a vulnerable, normal human soldier. I also think it's set in sometime close to where we are, not sure though. I call bullshit on this, to be honest. I haven't really liked the newer Halo games so there is no reason for me to get this.

Hell yes, man. I totally approve of that, I got mine modded. It's preferable if you Softmod yours. It's easier and it doesn't really encounter any fuck-ups with how it runs. It's much better than installing a chip and going through that whole insane process. Here's a link that should get you started: http://www.tutorial-center.com/tutorials/view/284/SoftModding_for_Absolute_Beginners

Sure. I did my 360 by installing a modchip with my brother's help, but you should have it easier since you can simply Softmod it. If you're willing to give up Live, it's Christmas everyday. :D

I'm generally good with computers, but I can't understand any of this. Mine is an Xbox 360 Arcade, and i don't play Live so it's all good. Thanks, but would you happen to have another tutorial? Something that shows me step by step what to do. That was posted in '04, so I wonder if it's still useful.

Excited for ODST, Modern warfare 2, and Starcraft II. I honestly think people give halo too much shit, from my experiences it's because people are bad at it but I hope thats not the reason in general. I can see people disliking it if they have no friends too play it with, since that is the best part, it's pretty much Mario Party except with aliens and explosions.

I've been loving Fallout 1 & 2. I had been hearing how they're awesome and classic RPGs, so I gave 'em a try. Glad I did. The Phoenix Wright and Crystal Chronicles games on DS are also sweet. I also just got back into TF2 on Steam. I'm really looking forward to Diablo III and BioShock 2. Oh man.
